CARBAPENEMS

Carbapenems are a group of powerful antibiotics used to treat serious bacterial infections. They are often reserved for treating infections that are resistant to other types of antibiotics. Carbapenems work by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and are effective against a wide range of bacteria, including those that produce enzymes called beta-lactamases that can break down other antibiotics.
