Description

Anti D Inj 300mcg/ml is a medicine that contains Recombinant Anti Rho-D Immunoglobulin as its active ingredient. It is used to prevent complications during pregnancy related to the Rhesus D (RhD) blood type incompatibility between the mother and fetus. RhD incompatibility may occur when a mother with RhD negative blood type carries a fetus with RhD positive blood type. In such cases, the mother’s immune system may develop antibodies against the RhD antigen present on the fetal red blood cells, potentially leading to hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) or other complications. Anti D Inj 300mcg/ml is administered to RhD negative pregnant women who have been exposed to RhD positive blood during pregnancy or delivery. It works by preventing the mother’s immune system from producing antibodies against the RhD antigen, thereby reducing the risk of HDN in future pregnancies.
