Description

Covance-D is a medicine composed of Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Losartan works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, thereby relaxing and widening the blood vessels. This helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow. Covance-D is mainly indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. It is also prescribed for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, a kidney disease caused by diabetes, to delay the progression of kidney damage and reduce the risk of kidney failure. Covance-D may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. Like all medications, Covance-D has potential side effects such as dizziness, upset stomach, and fatigue, which should be promptly reported to a doctor or pharmacist.
