Description

Daparyl 10mg Tablet is a medicine containing Dapagliflozin as its main active ingredient. Dapagliflozin belongs to a class of medications called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. It is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Daparyl works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose by the kidneys, thus allowing excess glucose to be eliminated from the body through urine. This helps to lower blood glucose levels and improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes. It is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients who are unable to control their blood sugar levels with diet and exercise alone. Daparyl is not recommended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. As with any medication, Daparyl may have some side effects such as urinary tract infections, increased urination, genital infections, and hypoglycemia.
