Doxacin-OZ Tablet is a medicine composed of two active ingredients: Ornidazole and Ofloxacin. Ornidazole belongs to the class of nitroimidazole antibiotics and exhibits antimicrobial properties against a broad spectrum of bacteria and parasites. On the other hand, Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme, thus hindering the replication process. The combination of these two powerful antibiotics enables Doxacin-OZ Tablet to effectively treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary tract, skin, and sexually transmitted infections. It is also useful in the management of protozoal infections like trichomoniasis and amoebiasis.
