Gemstroke-1 Tablet is a medicine that combines two active ingredients – Glimepiride and Metformin. Each tablet contains Glimepiride 1 mg and Metformin 500 mg. Glimepiride belongs to a class of drugs called sulfonylureas, which are used to treat type 2 diabetes. It works by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin and helps the body use insulin more effectively. Metformin belongs to a class of drugs called biguanides and is also used to treat type 2 diabetes. It helps reduce the amount of glucose produced by the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin. Gemstroke-1 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate control. It helps lower blood sugar levels, improves glycemic control, and reduces the risk of complications associated with diabetes. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended while using Gemstroke-1 Tablet.
