Description
Glyxambi 10/5 Mg Tablet is a combination medicine containing two active ingredients, Linagliptin and Empaglifozin. Linagliptin belongs to a class of medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors, while Empaglifozin belongs to a class of medications called sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors. Glyxambi is prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by increasing the secretion of insulin and reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver. Additionally, it enhances the excretion of glucose through urine, leading to the lower blood sugar levels. This medication is usually taken orally once a day, with or without food.
