Levokast is a medicine that contains the active ingredients Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that works by blocking the action of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation and narrowing of the airways. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of histamine, a natural chemical in the body that can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Levokast is commonly used for the treatment of allergic symptoms such as seasonal allergies, hay fever, and allergic rhinitis. It provides relief from symptoms like sneezing, runny or itchy nose, watery or itchy eyes, and itching of the throat or nose. This medicine is also indicated for the management of asthma and prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (narrowing of the airways that occurs during exercise).
