Description

Travacom is a medicine used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It is composed of two active ingredients: Timolol and Travoprost Opthalmic. Timolol belongs to the class of drugs called beta-blockers, which work by reducing the production of fluid in the eye, thereby decreasing intraocular pressure. Travoprost Opthalmic is a prostaglandin analogue that also helps to lower intraocular pressure by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye. Travacom is available as eye drops and is applied directly to the affected eye(s) as per the doctor’s recommendation. By reducing intraocular pressure, Travacom can help prevent optic nerve damage and loss of vision associated with glaucoma.
