LANTANOPROST + BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE

Lantanoprost: Latanoprost is a medication used to treat high pressure inside the eye, a condition known as intraocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. It belongs to a class of drugs called prostaglandin analogs.

Benzalkonium Chloride: Benzalkonium Chloride is a widely used antiseptic and disinfectant agent. It is commonly found in over-the-counter products such as hand sanitizers, wound cleansers, and eye drops.

Its primary use is to kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Benzalkonium Chloride works by disrupting the cell membrane of these organisms, leading to their death.

The dose of Benzalkonium Chloride varies depending on the specific product and its intended use. For example, in hand sanitizers, the concentration typically ranges from 0.1% to 0.2%. In eye drops, the concentration is usually around 0.01% to 0.02%.

Although Benzalkonium Chloride is generally considered safe when used at appropriate concentrations, it can cause some side effects.
