Cilacar-TC 12. 5 is a combination medication that contains three active ingredients: Chlorthalidone, Telmisartan, and Cilnidipine. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps in the removal of excess water and salt, thereby lowering blood pressure. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), which relaxes blood vessels and helps in reducing blood pressure. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that widens and dilates blood vessels, allowing for smoother blood flow. Cilacar-TC 12. 5 is primarily used for treating patients with hypertension (high blood pressure) when monotherapy with a single medication is not sufficient.
