Photoban 30 Aquagel is a topically applied medicine formulated with the active ingredient Octyl Methoxycinnamate, also known as Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate. It acts as a chemical sunscreen agent, which helps protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Octyl Methoxycinnamate is a widely used ingredient in sunscreens due to its ability to absorb UVB rays, thereby preventing sunburn and reducing the risk of skin damage caused by excessive sun exposure. This ingredient is known to be effective against both UVA and UVB rays, making it a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
