Description

Telvas-LN 40 is a tablet that contains a combination of two active ingredients, Telmisartan and Cilnidipine. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker. It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Telmisartan works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to narrow. This helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure. Cilnidipine works by blocking the entry of calcium into blood vessels, leading to relaxation and widening of the vessels. Telvas-LN 40 helps to lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke. It is usually prescribed for patients who are unable to control their blood pressure adequately with a single medication.
