Trimium Trancaps is a medicine that is composed of two active ingredients: Tiotropium Bromide and Formoterol Fumarate. Tiotropium Bromide is a long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator that works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, thereby improving breathing in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Formoterol Fumarate, on the other hand, belongs to the class of long-acting beta-agonists that helps to open up the air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. Trimium Trancaps can be used as maintenance treatment in patients suffering from COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It helps in reducing the symptoms such as cough, wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath experienced by COPD patients. However, it should not be used as a rescue medication for sudden breathing problems.
