Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, preventing the spread of infection and reducing inflammation in the affected area. This eye drop is commonly prescribed to treat conjunctivitis (pink eye) caused by certain susceptible bacteria. Typically, one to two drops are instilled into the affected eye(s) every 2 to 4 hours for the first 2 days, followed by 4 times a day for up to 7 days.
