Storvas 20mg Tablet is a medicine that contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin. Atorvastatin belongs to a group of drugs known as statins, which are used to lower high levels of cholesterol in the blood. High levels of cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes. Storvas 20mg Tablet is used in the management of various conditions, including hypercholesterolemia (high levels of cholesterol), mixed dyslipidemia (an abnormal amount of lipids in the blood), and familial hypercholesterolemia (an inherited condition causing high levels of cholesterol). Storvas 20mg Tablet works by inhibiting an enzyme in the liver that is responsible for producing cholesterol. By reducing the production of cholesterol, it helps decrease the levels of “bad” cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) and triglycerides, while increasing the levels of “good” cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein or HDL).
