Description

Torglip 50 Tablet is a medicine containing the active ingredient Vildagliptin. Vildagliptin is an oral medication belonging to the class of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. It is primarily prescribed to patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to help regulate their blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which in turn increases the levels of incretin hormones like glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). These hormones increase the secretion of insulin in response to meals and also decrease the production of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar levels. Torglip 50 Tablet is specifically formulated with 50mg of Vildagliptin and is used as an adjunct therapy in conjunction with diet and exercise for better glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It helps improve insulin secretion and reduce fasting and postprandial glucose levels.
